What it means to be a real friend

Sometimes I wonder about human nature, about how cruel we can be with each other or even with ourselves... I must confess that still I don't have the answer to change that and make everyone happy, as I'm right now. However, I realized that if someone knows about suffering, through time, that suffering teaches you to value the little things that can change your mood, make your day, or even save your life.

I know it's ironic but, How can you know happiness without knowing suffering?

On the other hand, there are some little living beings that are eager to give you their unconditional love, and we need to learn from them how to love and how to be a real friend in life. So, treat everyone the same way you want to be treated.

I illustrated this thinking by Misty/Kasumi and Vaporeon picture (they belong to Nintendo), because there's no other image to me more clear about giving and receiving love in a pure form like animals do.

For you to find good friends, you need to learn to be one (for others, and mainly for yourself). And appreciate the real friends you have, human or animal
